The purpose of this study was to evaluate the feasibility of Rand Refinery’s proposed Wet Chemical Gold Refining Plant.
The proposed plant design would entail the use of modern hydrometallurgical processing and refining of gold bullion to a 99.99% product and briefly, the process consisted of a number of steps such as Atomisation, Dissolution and Precipitation to recover the 99.99% product.
The feasibility study included defining the Scope of the Feasibility Study, providing the Design Basis & Criteria, and included discipline design (process, mechanical etc.), Safety and Project Cost Analysis & Schedule.
